Improving performance is central to the current challenges facing the public sector.

It applies to all areas: organizing public management (division of roles between thinker and doer, distribution of internal control, decentralization of management acts in operational divisions, etc.), performance management (defining and implementing dashboards and decision-making tools, etc.) or the rollout of integrated management tools to improve the efficiency of operating methods.
Our approach to performance in the public sector draws on understanding of public management, practical experience and specialist knowledge of the culture of public stakeholders.

Success story
1.
Defining the new management organization of a public sector body

The context :

In the context of increased activity and the rollout of an integrated management tool, the body commissioned our teams to adapt the distribution of roles between the different divisions involved in its management (financial division, accounting agency, procurement division, operating division, etc.).

WHAT WE DID :

Following an analysis of the existing situation and specific regulatory requirements, we proposed several organization models reflecting the challenges the body faced. In this framework, we evaluated the impacts on the sizing of the teams, change management and technical feasibility.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED :

Our experience of working for public sector bodies and specialist knowledge of the impacts of implementing an integrated management tool made it possible to make recommendations relevant to the challenges the body faced.

2.
Helping a regional health agency develop strategic management dashboards

The context :

This agency asked our teams to optimize its strategic management instruments with a view to moving from a system managing healthcare services with administrative indices to regulation based on current needs and uses in consultation with regional health centres.

WHAT WE DID :

We mapped relationships and information exchanges between the different stakeholders (State, national insurance and health centres).
We then developed indicators and dashboards using a balanced scorecard methodology tailored to the health sector with the management team and its partners.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED :

Our work brought a regional health agency and its partners together around the strategic management initiative and defined relevant, practical management dashboards.
